Q: Can brick be considered an ecologically friendly product?
A: Brick is definitely “green,” and it’s not only because it’s primarily made with clay and shale and can be recycled. Bricks can also be made with pre-consumer and post-consumer products. For instance, pre-consumer industry materials in bricks include overburden from mining, washings from aggregate processing, grog, sawdust, and metallic oxides.
